Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Peotone). They blew past the Momence Momence Athletics 80-55 on Friday. The Blue Devils pushed the score to 64-44 by the end of the third, a deficit the Momence Athletics had little chance of recovering from.

When it comes to explaining why Momence lost, don't look at Erick Castillo. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 13 en route to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Austin Lynch, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

Peotone has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Momence, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.

Peotone wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 65-49 victory against Woodland on the 1st. As for Momence, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 56-43 defeat against Iroquois West on the 1st.
