Basketball Game Preview: Williamsburg Blue Pirates vs. Central Dragons

Williamsburg hasn't had much luck against Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Williamsburg Blue Pirates will be playing at home against the Central Dragons at 7:15 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Williamsburg didn't have too much trouble with Juniata Valley as they won 69-53. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Pirates.

Meanwhile, Central had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-54 win over the Crushers. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Crushers are ranked 231st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Williamsburg is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Central, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4.
