Basketball Recap: Lewis Comes Up Short

Lewis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 31-24 to the Annandale Atoms. The Lancers were probably out for revenge after losing 48-43 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Annandale's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Megan Murray led the charge by putting up ten points. Another player making a difference was Matilda Moreland, who posted eight points.

Lewis' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Annandale, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-5.

Lewis wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 63-42 loss against Justice on the 14th. As for Annandale, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-35 defeat against Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology on the 14th.
