Football Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Newman Central Catholic + How To Watch

Newman Central Catholic won the last time they faced Orion and things went their way on Friday too. The Comets put the hurt on the Chargers with a sharp 40-14 victory. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Chargers are ranked 295th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

When it comes to explaining why Orion lost, don't look at Owen Voorhees. Despite the final result, he picked up 61 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 107 yards on only eight carries. Voorhees' longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
