Volleyball Recap: Ramsey Gets the Win

After losing to Mulberry Grove the last time they met, Ramsey decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Rams walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Aces on Friday.

Ramsey didn't let Mulberry Grove take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-22.

Ramsey's offense was headlined by Cali Hill and Kelli Cook, who picked up five kills apiece. They were helped by Mia Waggoner and Audrina Bell, who contributed four assists each. Hill and Waggoner didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

When it comes to explaining why Mulberry Grove lost, don't look at Lola Johnson. Despite the final result, she had eight assists and four aces.

Ramsey's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Mulberry Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Ramsey will venture away from home to square off against Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Rams are facing the Greyhounds at the right time seeing as the Greyhounds are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mulberry Grove, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Christ Our Rock Lutheran at 6:00 p.m.
