Football Recap: Menlo-Atherton Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Menlo-Atherton had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 31-21 victory over the San Mateo Bearcats on Saturday. The win was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on four straight.

Teddy Dacey went supernova, throwing for 202 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 68 yards and one score. Those 68 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Despite the loss, San Mateo still got an impressive performance from Lukas Fitzgerald, who rushed for 109 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Fitzgerald's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.

Menlo-Atherton now has a winning record of 7-6. As for San Mateo, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-4 record.

Coming up, Menlo-Atherton will be playing at home against El Cerrito at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Gauchos' defense has only allowed nine points per game this season, so the Bears' offense will have their work cut out for them. San Mateo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
