Softball Recap: Monday's Victory Is Whitmire's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lewisville, Whitmire was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Lamar Silver Foxes by a score of 8-4. For the Wolverines, this counts as revenge for the 5-1 victory the Silver Foxes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2019.

Whitmire is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Lamar, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-10.

As of now, neither Whitmire nor the Silver Foxes have any future games scheduled.
