Football Recap: Adamsville's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

It was a proper cat-fight when Adamsville challenged Lewis County on Friday. The Cardinals took a 34-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Cardinals were up 27-7 in the second quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

It was another big night for Drew Ray, who rushed for 181 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry for Lewis County. Ray was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 57 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Adamsville fell to 3-1. As for Lewis County, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Adamsville will take on Tishomingo County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals are facing the Braves at the right time seeing as the Braves are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lewis County, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Summertown at 7:00 p.m.
