Joliet Catholic and Lincoln-Way West are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Lincoln-Way West Warriors at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.

On Friday, Joliet Catholic had to suffer through an 82-40 loss at the hands of Marist. While losing is never fun, the Hilltoppers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 229th, while the RedHawks are ranked 14th).

Meanwhile, Lincoln-Way West didn't have quite enough to beat Bradley-Bourbonnais on Friday and fell 47-45.

Joliet Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Lincoln-Way West, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-16.

Joliet Catholic won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, slipping by Lincoln-Way West 68-67. The rematch might be a little tougher for Joliet Catholic since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
