Preview: Schaumburg Christian Conquerors vs. Harvest Christian Academy Lions
Having just played yesterday, the Schaumburg Christian Conquerors will get right back to it and host the Harvest Christian Academy Lions at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Schaumburg Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Harvest Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
On Monday, Schaumburg Christian beat Christian Liberty 42-33.
Schaumburg Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carynton Hobson, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Hobson has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Candela Garcia was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven steals.
Meanwhile, Harvest Christian Academy came up short against Genoa-Kingston on Thursday and fell 43-30. Harvest Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Daphne Brown, who scored 11 points.
Schaumburg Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they bumped their record down to 6-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Schaumburg Christian took a serious blow against Harvest Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 57-28. Thankfully for Schaumburg Christian, Kate Dickman (who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
