Baseball Recap: Algoma Christian Comes Up Short

Algoma Christian lost to Sacred Heart Academy on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Knights might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-2 to Sacred Heart Academy, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Christian Bouma was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Algoma Christian's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-0-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Algoma Christian will welcome West Michigan at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Zion Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
