With a playoff win on the line, Alpharetta rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Douglas County Tigers as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Raiders sure are getting used to it with their 29th in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Alpharetta took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-9, 25-14.

Alpharetta found their leader in sophomore Harsha Velugoti, who had 17 assists and six digs. Velugoti has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times she's played. Susie Dai was another key player, getting 17 assists.

Alpharetta's win bumped their record up to 35-1. As for Douglas County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-17 record this season.

Alpharetta will be playing in front of their home fans against Marietta at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Douglas County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
