Football Recap: Eastpointe Shamrocks vs. South Lake Cavaliers
Eastpointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They had to suffer through a 56-0 loss at the hands of the South Lake Cavaliers. The Shamrocks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cavaliers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2017.
South Lake was led to victory by Rafeal Payne and Champion Cornelius. Payne rushed for 31 yards and three touchdowns, while Cornelius picked up 38 receiving yards.
Eastpointe's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Lake, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Eastpointe has the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Lake, they will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Marysville at 7:00 p.m.
