Manatee QB Cord Sandberg commits to Mississippi State

Quarterback from the nation's No. 1 preseason team chooses Starkville as his next home.

Cord Sandberg has committed to play for Mississippi State. But defending Manatee High's state title is his first order of business.

The Bradenton (Fla.) Herald is reporting today that
Manatee (Bradenton, Fla.) star quarterback
Cord Sandberg has committed to play for Mississippi State.
The newspaper's source is Sandberg's position coach at Manatee, Chris Conboy.
Manatee is ranked No. 1 in the Preseason Xcellent 25 and is coming off a season where he was named the state's 7A Player of the Year after winning a state title. He racked up 2,187 passing yards to go with 813 rushing yards and a total of 29 touchdowns.
Sandberg is ranked No. 97 in the
Class of 2013 Top 100 and will give the Bulldogs a highly regarded recruit for the future.
