Basketball Game Preview: New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners vs. Springer Red Devils

The New Mexico School for the Deaf Roadrunners will venture away from home to challenge the Springer Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-32, which was the final score in New Mexico School for the Deaf's tilt against Maxwell on Thursday. While losing is never fun, the Roadrunners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 439th, while the Bears are ranked 44th).

Meanwhile, Springer suffered their closest loss since November 23, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Maxwell by a score of 71-68. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Springer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-10. As for New Mexico School for the Deaf, they dropped their record down to 6-7 with the loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
