Basketball Game Preview: Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles vs. La Marque Cougars

Two dominant guards in Sydnee Arocha and Jayde Thomas are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Fort Bend Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the La Marque Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Fort Bend Christian Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Monday, Fort Bend Christian Academy lost to Concordia Lutheran at home by a 49-35 margin.

Skye Shell put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted ten points and four steals. Morgan Carter was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when La Marque faced off against Hempstead on Monday. The Cougars secured a 41-35 W over the Bobcats. While the Cougars didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

La Marque found their leader in sophomore Kendall Batiste, who had 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Batiste has scored all season.

La Marque's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Fort Bend Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.
