Basketball Recap: Bradford Takes a Loss

Bradford suffered their biggest loss since November 30, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against the Trenton Tigers, falling 54-31. The defeat continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Trenton's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Koi Perry, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Perry a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nyima Gillyard, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards.

Bradford's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Trenton, they pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradford will face off against Newberry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Newberry will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Bradford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Trenton, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Trenton Tigers challenge the Forest Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trenton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.5 points per game this season.
