Baseball Recap: Twin Lakes Picks Up Fifth Straight Win on the Road

Twin Lakes entered their tilt with Lafayette Jefferson on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Bronchos. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 5-4 win the Bronchos walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Mason Brummett spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Carson Wagner was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Twin Lakes' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Cooper Dold, who went 3-for-5 with three stolen bases and one run.

Twin Lakes' victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-5. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Lafayette Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.

Twin Lakes will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bronchos: the pair will be back at it again later today.
