Mater Dei extends road losing streak to four

The Mater Dei Knights suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against St. Anthony, falling 78-45. Mater Dei was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-16.

When it comes to explaining why Mater Dei lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nick Lampe. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Lampe hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Elliott Rakers, who scored four points along with six rebounds.

Mater Dei bumped their record down to 9-11 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for St. Anthony, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-4.

Mater Dei will head out on the road to face off against Nashville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Nashville is ranked 186th, while Mater Dei is ranked 192nd). As for St. Anthony, they will be playing at home against Flora at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
