Preview: Dade Christian Crusaders vs. Monsignor Pace Spartans
Having just played yesterday, the Dade Christian Crusaders will head out on the road to face off against the Monsignor Pace Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on December 13th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Dade Christian beat Southwest 46-41.
Dade Christian can attribute much of their success to Kenvenson Malivert, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds, and Kevin Rojo, who scored 14 points along with five assists and three steals. Malivert hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriel Alonso, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Monsignor Pace was able to grind out a solid win over Ransom Everglades on Tuesday, taking the game 44-35. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Monsignor Pace has scored all year.
Dade Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. As for Monsignor Pace, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Dade Christian strolled past Monsignor Pace in their previous matchup back in December of 2021 by a score of 73-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dade Christian since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
