Basketball Game Preview: Northeast Lauderdale Trojans vs. West Lauderdale Knights

Northeast Lauderdale hasn't had much luck against West Lauderdale recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Northeast Lauderdale Trojans will face off against the West Lauderdale Knights at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Northeast Lauderdale's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

Northeast Lauderdale is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since December 19, 2024 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 64-62 win over Newton County.

Meanwhile, West Lauderdale hadn't done well against Choctaw Central recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. West Lauderdale managed a 72-66 victory over Choctaw Central.

Northeast Lauderdale is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for West Lauderdale, their win bumped their record up to 15-5.

Northeast Lauderdale ended up a good deal behind West Lauderdale when the teams last played on January 14th, losing 51-36. Can Northeast Lauderdale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
