Norwell came out on top against Adams Central on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Knights put the hurt on the Flying Jets with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Norwell got a great performance from Ryne Thornton as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over five innings pitched. Thornton has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Drew Graft, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Jolley, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Norwell is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Adams Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Norwell wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against East Noble on the 8th. As for Adams Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Heritage on the 8th.
