Volleyball Recap: Gunter Picks Up 12th Straight Win on the Road

Gunter barely beat Blue Ridge the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Gunter was the clear victor by a 3-0 margin over Blue Ridge on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 two weeks ago.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 26-24, 25-21.

Gunter's victory was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-11. As for Blue Ridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-11.

Coincidentally, Gunter and Blue Ridge will both be playing Howe the next time they take the court. Blue Ridge will head out to face Howe at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Gunter will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
