Volleyball Recap: Donovan Catholic Comes Up Short

Donovan Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jackson Memorial Jaguars. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Griffins of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-6.

Reyhan Talib was a one-man wrecking crew For Jackson Memorial. as he had six aces and three digs. Those six aces gave Talib a new career-high. Samir Talib also deserves some recognition as he served his first aces of the season.

Donovan Catholic's record is now 0-6. As for Jackson Memorial, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Donovan Catholic will welcome Red Bank Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Jackson Memorial, they will host Southern Regional at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
