Palatka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 95-70 to the Newberry Panthers. One positive for Palatka, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Newberry's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandy Whitfield, who posted 41 points. The match was Whitfield's 13th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Sarah Beaulieu, who had 28 points.

Palatka's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Newberry, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.

Palatka didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 46-33 win against Keystone Heights on the 10th. As for Newberry, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-48 victory against Buchholz on the 7th.
