Softball Recap: Elizabethton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Elizabethton lost against David Crockett back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fighting Cyclones took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pioneers.

Elizabethton's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for David Crockett, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3-1.

Elizabethton and David Crockett should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Fighting Cyclones will take on Cloudland at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (104 vs. 214). Meanwhile, David Crockett (ranked 17th) will meet John Battle (ranked 110th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
