The Oak Grove Tigers made easy work of the Thorsby Rebels on Tuesday and carried off an 8-2 victory. Considering the Tigers have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Wiley Hicks made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, Oak Grove let Dalton Troncalli and Brawley Burns run wild. Troncalli went a perfect 1-for-1 with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI, while Burns got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
