Football Recap: Rancho Takes a Loss

Rancho lost against Chaparral back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Rancho Rams received a blow as they fell 25-6 to the Chaparral Cowboys. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Rancho still got an impressive performance from Reese LeBaron, who rushed for 108 yards, and also caught one touchdown. The dominant performance gave LeBaron a new career-high in rushing yards.

Chaparral had a senior duo take command as Sybol Hardinger threw for 176 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.4% of her passes and Asia Washington rushed for 101 yards on only 14 carries.

Rancho's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Chaparral, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Rancho will face off against Canyon Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Rancho is facing Canyon Springs at the right time seeing as Canyon Springs is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Chaparral, they will square off against Desert Pines at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Chaparral's defense has only allowed 13.5 points per game this season, so Desert Pines' offense will have their work cut out for them.
