Animo Venice had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They blew past the WISH Academy Owls 73-30. The Pirates pushed the score to 60-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Owls had no chance of recovering from.

Despite the loss, WISH Academy still got an impressive performance from Noah Tureaud, who posted eight points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nathan Nakada, who put up three points.

Animo Venice pushed their record up to 13-11 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for WISH Academy, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Animo Venice won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Animo Watts at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Animo Watts is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.6 points per game this season. As for WISH Academy, they and New Designs Watts will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played.
