Basketball Recap: Jefferson Comes Up Short

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were outmatched by the Andress Eagles and fell 47-20. The Silver Foxes were probably out for revenge after losing 48-6 to them when the teams met back in January of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Gianna Gulley was the offensive standout of the contest as she went 6 of 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. That's the most steals she has posted since back in November of 2023. Christian Grant was another key player, putting up nine points and five boards.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Andress, their win bumped their record up to 9-15.

Jefferson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 74-14 loss against Burges on the 21st. Andress has also already played their next game, a 46-35 defeat against Canutillo on the 21st.
