Softball Recap: Oakland Catholic vs. Elizabeth Forward Warriors

Oakland Catholic extended their losing streak to seven on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-8 in the process. They came up short against the Elizabeth Forward Warriors, falling 17-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Elizabeth Forward this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Natalie Waffensmith made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season.

As for Elizabeth Forward, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

On Elizabeth Forward's side, they got a massive performance out of Aubri Cimba, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Cimba has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Berlyn Holibaugh, who went 2-for-4 with two triples and two RBI.
