Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Enterprise

Enterprise had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They never let the Salem Wildcats get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-4 last Tuesday.

Ryder Martin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2. He is becoming a predictor of Enterprise's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 5-8 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, AJ Raiford was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jiles Williams, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

The victory got Enterprise back to even at 9-9. As for Salem, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Enterprise will welcome Columbia at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Salem, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Salem Wildcats take on Lumberton Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
