Baseball Recap: Tri-West Hendricks Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

Tri-West Hendricks won against Westville on Saturday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Bruins never let the Danville Warriors get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. This was payback for the Bruins, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Cole Keller, who gave up just four hits to keep Danville off the board.

On the hitting side, Jackson Sorgi was incredible, firing off two home runs while going 2-for-4. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Ethan Frye was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Tri-West Hendricks lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Tri-West Hendricks has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Danville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-13.

Tri-West Hendricks will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
