Basketball Game Preview: College Prep of America Thunder vs. Islamic Foundation Chargers

College Prep of America is 2-8 against Islamic Foundation since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The College Prep of America Thunder will head out on the road to take on the Islamic Foundation Chargers at 5:30 p.m.

College Prep of America lost 51-27 to Unity Christian Academy on Tuesday.

College Prep of America's defeat came about despite a quality game from Zainab Nazeer, who went 8 of 19 on her way to 22 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Nazeer is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 29 games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Islamic Foundation). They put the hurt on Aqsa with a sharp 60-34 win on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Chargers considering their 21-point performance the contest before.

The victory got Islamic Foundation back to even at 3-3. As for College Prep of America, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

College Prep of America beat Islamic Foundation 28-20 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Will College Prep of America repeat their success, or does Islamic Foundation have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
