Recap: Pepperell Dragons vs. Dalton Academy Pumas
There's no place like home for the Pepperell Dragons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They breezed by Dalton Academy at home to the tune of 85-52. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Pepperell has posted since December 8, 2023.
Pepperell's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Fife, who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fife has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Lockwood, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Pepperell's win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Dalton Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pepperell won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Trion at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Trion will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Dalton Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Georgia School for the Deaf at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Georgia School for the Deaf comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 25 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
