Softball Recap: Pleasant Comes Up Short

Pleasant had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped their record down to 2-10 to make it eight. They lost 10-3 to the Ontario Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 on Tuesday.

Destiny Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3.

As for Ontario, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games.

On Ontario's side, Ellie Dawson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Eden Howard, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Looking ahead, Pleasant will challenge Highland at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Ontario, they will head out on the road to square off against Clyde at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
