Basketball Recap: New Bloomfield Comes Up Short

New Bloomfield lost against South Callaway back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The New Bloomfield Wildcats had to suffer through a 76-45 loss at the hands of the South Callaway Bulldogs.

When it comes to explaining why New Bloomfield lost, don't look at Andrew Fouch. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave Fouch a new career-high. Trenton Boessen was another key player, putting up seven points.

Even though they lost, New Bloomfield smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

New Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for South Callaway, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6.

New Bloomfield has already played their next game (against Russellville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. South Callaway will venture away from home to challenge Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. South Callaway is facing Fulton at the right time seeing as Fulton is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
