Basketball Recap: Pioneer Takes a Loss

Pioneer lost against Dexter back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pioneer Pioneers were beaten by the Dexter Dreadnaughts 55-28. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while the Dreadnaughts are ranked 47th).

Pioneer's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Dexter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Coming up, Pioneer is taking a road trip to square off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Dexter, they and Bedford will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday without much rest, having both just played.
