Basketball Recap: West Takes a Loss

West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 27th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the East Aces and fell 68-12. While losing is never fun, the Pioneers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Aces are ranked 149th).

West's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for East, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

After both having extra time off, West and Southeast will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on February 4th. Southeast is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.1 points per game this season. As for East, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Bishop Carroll on February 4th.
