After a string of three wins, Nekoosa's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Almond-Bancroft Eagles by a score of 2-1. While the Papermakers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-19 in the first set.
Nekoosa started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 15-11.
