It was a good run, but Nekoosa unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Almond-Bancroft Eagles by a score of 2-1. While the Papermakers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-19 in the first set.

Nekoosa started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-23, 15-11.

Nekoosa's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Almond-Bancroft, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-11.

Nekoosa didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Waterloo on the 20th. As for Almond-Bancroft, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Poynette on the 20th.
