Preview: Unaka Rangers vs. North Greene Huskies
Unaka has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will take on the North Greene Huskies at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. North Greene took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Unaka, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Unaka was fully in charge, breezing past Washburn 78-48 at home. With Unaka ahead 55-18 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Meanwhile, North Greene came up short against University two weeks ago and fell 50-38. While losing is never fun, North Greene can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while University is ranked 136th).
Unaka has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season. As for North Greene, they dropped their record down to 7-13 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Unaka was dealt a bruising 65-38 loss at the hands of North Greene in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Unaka avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
