Volleyball Recap: Pine Forge Academy Takes a Loss

Pine Forge Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Mastery Warrior. The Falcons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warrior earlier this season, when they won 0-0.

While Pine Forge Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Keyonte Moore and Andres Trellis, who picked up four kills apiece. Trellis really made an impact as he also led the team in assists with two. Moore and Trellis didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Pine Forge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Mastery, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Pine Forge Academy will challenge rival Foundation Collegiate Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mastery is set to take on their familiar foe Girard College at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
