Recap: Bennett Clippers vs. Washington Jaguars
The Bennett Clippers's four-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They blew past Washington 65-40. Bennett might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won three contests by 25 points or more this season.
Leading Bennett to victory were Jace Hudson and Zakai Smullen. Hudson scored 17 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Smullen scored 22 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. That makes it six consecutive games in which Hudson has scored at least 25% of Bennett's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wes(charlie) Moss, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Bennett's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Washington, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-7.
Bennett will play host again and welcome Pocomoke, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they will take on Snow Hill at TBD on Monday. Snow Hill is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.
