The Seton Catholic Central Saints came tearing into Friday's game with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.4 points) and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 52-38 win over Owego Free Academy. Given Seton Catholic Central's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Owego Free Academy is ranked 107th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Seton Catholic Central was led to victory by Brayden Rumpel and Allan Eagles. Rumpel scored 14 points along with two steals, while Eagles scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Rumpel is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Drew Erickson, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two steals.

Seton Catholic Central's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Owego Free Academy, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5.
