Softball Game Preview: Sullivan West Bulldogs vs. Port Jervis Raiders

The Sullivan West Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Port Jervis Raiders at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Sullivan West will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Tri-Valley, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Bulldogs skirted past the Bears 6-5.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Port Jervis). They put the hurt on Monticello with a sharp 23-0 victory on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Raiders with their most commanding win of the season.

Port Jervis now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Sullivan West, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

Sullivan West came up short against Port Jervis in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, falling 8-3. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
