Basketball Recap: Central Catholic Comes Up Short

Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 60-51 to the Abbeville Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 62-50 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Central Catholic now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Abbeville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Catholic and Terrebonne will round out the year against one another at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Abbeville, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Centerville at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
