Jacksonville gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They came out on top against the Cherokee County Warriors by a score of 2-0.

Miles Sawyer and Judah Jennings scored both of Jacksonville's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

This is the second loss in a row for Cherokee County and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Jacksonville will be playing at home against Leeds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cherokee County, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Cleburne County on the 11th.
