Volleyball Game Preview: Savannah Savages vs. St. Pius X Warriors

The Savannah Savages will head out on the road to take on the St. Pius X Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Pius X took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Savannah, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Savannah made easy work of Northland Christian and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Savages in their matchups with Northland Christian: they've now won eight in a row.

Savannah never let Northland Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 25-20.

Meanwhile, St. Pius X came up short against Kearney on Monday and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-12, 17-25, 25-22.

St. Pius X's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 12-14-1. As for Savannah, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8-1.
