Basketball Game Preview: Sedgwick Cardinals vs. Medicine Lodge Indians

After both having extra time off, the Sedgwick Cardinals and the Medicine Lodge Indians will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sedgwick is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game two weeks ago. They were dealt an 82-38 loss at the hands of Moundridge. The Cardinals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-17.

Despite the defeat, Sedgwick had strong showings from Ella Vondracek, who went 6 for 9 on her way to 17 points, and Logan Budde, who went 5 of 8 en route to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Medicine Lodge might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting South Haven an easy 56-32 win. The game marked the Indians' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Sedgwick's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Medicine Lodge, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
